XBL Indieverse Review – The Hearts of Men

Recently I reviewed a game that I had been watching grow and flourish into something awesome right at the middle stages–it was a title I hadn’t heard of until the game was almost already completed.

The game itself is called “The Hearts of Men” and is developed by Coltran Studios, and check out the Review. Basically this title is a retro hack and slash co-op game that is entertaining and assuredly a great time for friends and gamers alike.

The game is only 80 MSP and is of great quality. Highly recommended for all Gauntlet fans out there, too.

VVG Indie Verse Reviews – Torchlight

VVG IndieVerse Reviews

I’ve been working on Torchlight’s review for four long days–constant playing, taking notes, editing the article dozens of times. I was determined to do what I could to make it one of the best reviews I’ve written. Check out VVG’s official Torchlight Review.

Its the hard work paid off, because the developers of Torchlight, Runic Games, tweeted a message to my Review:

Epic Moment for VVGiv--RunicGames retweets VVG's Review of Torchlight!

I’m very excited to see Runic Games give this Tweet to their followers, and it’s a great feeling to have one of your favorite game companies look at your work. I’ve been a Blizzard fan for years, especially with titles like the Diablo series, Warcraft, Starcraft, and the most-played MMORPG in the world, WoW.

Can’t wait for Torchlight II!

“Trivia Or Die” VVGiv Review

The Review for my favorite XBLIG game-show trivia title “Trivia Or Die” is now published on VVGtv! This game is a fantastic and fast-paced question and answer trivia game that puts emphasis on quick-thinking and survival. With over five hundred questions, avatar support, and cruel insults, this title is hilarious as it is competitive and is a must-have for all Jeopardy fans everywhere.

XBL Indieverse Review “All Out of Bubblegum”

The XBL Indieverse XBLIG Review

“All Out of Bubblegum”

By: Deeke777

I just recently finished a review for a 3D twin-stick zombie shooter called “All Out of Bubblegum” for The XBL Indieverse. Check the review out here. Overall this game is very fun especially when playing with 4-player co-op, and it offers many unique abilities and elements that set it apart from other Xbox Indies.

All Out of Bubblegum!

There are many zombie games on the Xbox Indies marketplace, however this one is unlike the rest in its varying useage of enhanced weaponry, its structure building which adds elements of RTS, and its high-action fast-paced action that gets overwhelming when zombies fill the screen.

With insane weapons like chainsaw motorbikes, plasma rifles, mini-gun turrets and RPGs, this game is a must-have for all zombie shooter fans especially those that like to play with friends. It offers dozens of levels and waves of zombies for players to slaughter.

This game is very gory and action packed, and contains the elements that are necessary for a good and fun XBLIG experience.

Head on over to the Review to find pictures, videos, and best of all–a review!

My First XBLA Review!

My very first Xbox Live Arcade Review was published recently on VVGtv.com–the XBLA title was “Bejeweled Blitz LIVE”.

Bejeweled Blitz LIVE

This was a bit stressful to complete, and I wanted to do the best I could. The funny thing is that I actually wasn’t a Bejeweled player before now, so I had no idea how Blitz functioned. Playing it queued me in, however it was another person’s review that gave me the most information.

Even the Wikipedia article on Bejeweled wasn’t as helpful as some of the information found in other people’s game reviews.

Another very exciting part of this whole tale is that PopCap Games, the highly-prestigious developers behind the title (and the insanely popular XBLA/PSN/PC/MAC game “Plants vs. Zombies”) had written back saying that the review was very enjoyable and a “well-written critique of the Bejeweled Blitz LIVE XBLA title”.

Something like that coming from PopCap Games is just amazingly awesome, and I’m very excited to add that to my repertoire and “portfolio” of written articles.

Be sure to check the Review out and to tell me what you think by leaving a comment!
